Lightspeed is an affiliated company of Carnegie Telephone that provides fiber-to-the-home internet services in many communities in southwest Oklahoma. Our story began in 2014 when we purchased the cable TV system in Fort Cobb, OK. We began offering high-speed cable modem service to that community shortly thereafter. During 2020, we upgraded the community to Fiber To the Home service. We have since expanded our footprint considerably, and provide service to the east and north sides of Fort Cobb Lake, along with service north of Anadarko, OK.
Lightspeed also provides a prepaid WiFi system for guests at the Fort Cobb State Park. This system, available in 3 of the campground areas at the park, provides reliable, high-speed WiFi to campers and park staff through a convenient, self-service signup platform. Users can purchase access by the day, week or month. We provide a free 1-hour block of service each day to anyone in the park who might not need the longer time periods.
We are currently expanding our network northward around Fort Cobb Lake and hope to be completed in 2025.
